Our Wedding Website Design Journey
Our team had the opportunity to design a wedding website for the friend of one of our guildmates. This project allowed us to apply our web design, collaboration, and project management skills while creating a beautiful and user-friendly website for a special occasion.
From the beginning, we focused on planning and teamwork. We used Google Docs to organize our ideas and document our content. Trello helped us manage tasks, assign responsibilities, and track our progress throughout the project. For the website’s layout and user interface, we created wireframes and mockups using Canva, allowing us to visualize the design before development began.
Bringing Our Design to Life
After completing the planning stage, we transformed our concepts into a fully functional wedding website. We designed the website with a clean and elegant appearance that reflects the joy of a wedding celebration.
Some of the key features of our wedding website include:
Responsive and mobile-friendly design
Fluid layouts tested across phone, tablet, and desktop breakpoints.
Wedding venue information
Address, directions context, and venue details surfaced clearly.
Event date and time details
A live countdown timer anchored to the ceremony date.
Contact form for guest inquiries
A simple, accessible form routing RSVP's and questions to the couple.
Clean, modern, and easy to navigate layout
A calm, floral-forward visual system that stays out of the way.
• FUTURE IMPROVEMENT
“Although we successfully completed most of the planned features, one improvement we would make in the future is integrating a Google Maps location to help guests find the wedding venue more easily.”

Challenges and Lessons Learned
Completing this project taught us the importance of teamwork, communication, and time management. By working together, we learned to respect each team member’s strengths, support one another, and solve problems collaboratively.
We also discovered that careful planning before development makes the entire design process smoother and more efficient. Meeting our project deadline was a rewarding achievement and demonstrated the value of good organization and cooperation.
Project Outcome
Overall, the project was a success. We submitted our guild project on time and created a wedding website that is visually appealing, responsive, and easy to use. We are proud of what we accomplished as a team and look forward to applying the knowledge and experience we gained to future web development projects.
Conclusion
This wedding website project strengthened our skills in web design, responsive development, project planning, and team collaboration. Every stage from brainstorming ideas and creating wireframes to building the final website, helped us grow as designers and developers. We believe this experience has prepared us to create even better websites in future projects.
